Manali can be reached by air, road or rail. The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport which is about 50 kilometers from Manali. There are flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Bhuntar Airport. The nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar Railway Station which is about 165 kilometers from Manali. There are trains from Delhi, Chandigarh and Pathankot to Joginder Nagar Railway Station. The most convenient way to reach Manali is by road, as there are regular buses and taxis from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla and other nearby cities. The distance from Delhi to Manali is about 540 kilometers and the journey takes about 12 to 14 hours.
